Andrew Schmedake is an award-winning lighting designer for theater, dance and live events. In the COVID era, he has pivoted his career into producing virtual events and technical direction of remote studios across the country for live, digital performances. Past credits include collaborations with Snoop Dogg and Leslie Odom Jr. through Little Cinema Digital, Daybreaker, Pixel Playhouse, Center Theatre Group, South Coast Repertory, Gabriel Iglesias, After Hours Theatre Company, and Antaeus Theatre Company. Andrew holds an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University and lectures on lighting design at UC
Santa Barbara.
