Andrew Schmedake is an award-winning lighting designer for theater, dance and live events. His career taken him everywhere from opera and ballet to cruise ships, haunted houses and TED Talks. In the COVID era, he has pivoted his career into producing virtual events and technical coordination of remote studios across the country for digital performances. Presently, Andrew lives in Los Angeles and lectures part time at UC Santa Barbara. He is an alumni from the MFA program in Lighting Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
